Our D365 customer approached us to extend their ERP solution by building a Power App application to optimize their critical and time consuming processes. The goal was to find a solution that could automate the processes, reduce manual effort, improve efficiency as well as to increase customer satisfaction.
Challenges
The client had encountered several challenges with the current processes, such as:
- Inefficient trade counter sales process: the sales team had to enter sales lines into the system on the counter, leading to errors and delays.
- Inaccurate stock counts: the company’s stock count process was time-consuming and prone to errors, resulting with discrepancies in stock levels.
- Optimized warehouse operations: some of the warehouse operations were not optimal, leading to inefficiencies and delays in fulfilling orders.

Power Platform as a Tool to Extend Your ERP Solution with Minimal Effort
Once gaps were identified, and requirements were gathered, the AXM365 team developed a comprehensive solution on top of Power Platform focusing on:
- Trade counter sales process optimization – The power app allowing the salesman to accompany a customer by scanning the items to be sold and automatically integrating them into a created sales order. This eliminated manual data entry, reducing errors and delays.
- Stock count process optimization – The power app allowing the use of a mobile scanning device to count stock, and the results to be integrated directly into Dynamics ERP solution. This eliminated the need for manual data entry, reducing errors and discrepancies in stock levels.
- Warehouse operations optimization – The power app optimized warehouse operations by providing real-time information on inventory levels, order fulfilment status, and item locations. This allowed for more efficient picking, packing, and shipping of orders.
Extensive key-user training was provided to ensure smooth adoption and usage of the power app. As part of the service, there was an ongoing post-implementation support to address any issues and ensure continued success.
